The Laser-Go is a high frequency laser movement and laser pointing device that will be the primary mechanism in several exciting applications coming soon.  These are in development.

One exciting use is shown below.  A person can be encapsulated in a shell.  The person can go about their normal activities under the shell.  This page will not articulate the reason for this shell, since it has not yet been released.  The person under the shell can turn on or off or make other adjustments with an app on their smart phone.  This is by use of the blue tooth link to the processor circuit.  This has been tested and works.

The prototype board uses an STM32L073 processor board to control the motors and accept commands thru the bluetooth link.  The HC-05 module provides bluetooth connectivity to an Android smart phone running the system control app.

The function of the Xilinx Artix-7 XC7A35T FPGA is to calculate steps in laser movement.  This allows for faster motion than the STM processor can achieve and reduces the burden on the processor.  While the FPGA code is mostly Verilog for things like the main state machine, it does contain 2 library components in VHDL:  a module for SPI control of the DACs and a module for RS232 communication.  The Xilinx(AMD) IP libraries has thousands of tested modules.
